Seneca Lake Wine Trail Releases the Riesling to Visit Passport

SENECA LAKE WINE TRAIL RELEASES THE RIESLING TO VISIT PASSPORT

Ushering in May, the month of Riesling, the Riesling to Visit Passport is an affordable and convenient way to sample many wines

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is pleased the release its consistently popular Riesling to Visit Passport, starting May 1, 2008. Similar in conception to the Trail's surprisingly popular Polar Passport, for only $12 plus tax this passport-sized booklet enables its bearers to enjoy a complimentary flight of tastings, most of which include at least one Riesling, at 28 participating wineries anytime during the four month duration of the Passport.

Described Paul Thomas, executive director of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, "With modest tasting fees becoming increasingly common at wineries throughout the Finger Lakes Region, The Riesling to Visit Passport is a terrific bargain. While useful for visitors to the region who plan on spending a day or two touring wineries, the Passport is an incredible value for regional fans of the Trail that plan on visiting our wineries more than once this summer. Not only that, but participants who visit at least 20 of the participating wineries and get their Passport stamped, can mail the stamped centerfold back into our office and be entered in a contest to win The Ultimate Cruisin' Weekend package sponsored by popular local businesses like Echoes of the Glen B&B, Jerlando's Italian Restaurant, Quality Winery Tours, Seneca Harbor Station, Watkins Glen Massage and Sunset View Creamery. It is seriously such a great package I wish I was eligible for it!"

With last year's Wine Spectator harvest grade of an A- for the Finger Lakes Region, Riesling to Visit Passport visitors can look forward to sampling literally some of the best wines to be produced in the region in years.

Customers can acquire Riesling to Visit Passports either online at www.senecalakewine.com, or purchase them at most of the participating wineries. Passport in hand, customers can then visit the wineries anytime between May 1, 2008 and August 31, 2008, get their Passport stamped by winery staff, and receive a complimentary, standard flight of wines.
