The nose is somber with blackcurrant, pencil lead and deep mineral. The sip reveals blackcurrant, tar, slight cedar and soft, but gripping tannins. In the long length, nuances of spice and dried fruit begin to surface.

"This wine boasts a layered structure and a delicious complexity, both of which combine to create an intensely fulfilling mouth-feel. Its velvety and syrupy characteristics portray a soft and approachable wine," suggests wine maker Pablo Cuneo. "On the palate, black fruit and cassis pave the way for a lengthy and distinguished finish. This wine can be enjoyed now or laid down for 10-15 years, when it will slowly develop typical evolutionary characteristics."

Serve this sophisticated red with rare steak, and even rarer friends. Learn more at
